About Kids Oasis Kingsgrove

 

Kids Oasis is a family run centre with an amazing team of teachers who strive for excellence in early learning and development. We value close connections with the children, create secure and safe environments and stimulating learning experiences which cultivate the individual needs of each child in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.

 

We are a small 29 place centre offering care within the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. A tour of our centre is a great way to learn more about us and offers us an opportunity to answer any questions you may have.

We believe that early childhood is a fascinating and wondrous part of life, it must be valued and cherished!

 

In our work with children we:

• Believe in providing the highest quality of care and allowing each child to reach their fullest potential by planning, implementing and evaluating quality learning experiences within a child safe environment.

• Advocate for each child’s unique way of learning and developing and embedding inclusive practices and early intervention to support this.

• Will value and honour diversity and encourage differences.

• Believe in learning through play and offer play-based learning experiences that are guided by quality teaching and learning.

• Promote resilience, a sense of belonging, self-worth, secure attachments, trusting relationships and warm interactions.

• Pursue critical thinking, knowledgeable curiosity and informed risk-taking.

• Promote communication, a wide range of thinking strategies and problem-solving skills and enhancing children’s decision making and facilitating children’s voices.

• Encourage children to develop respectful, positive and proactive attitudes to our environment and to ensure a sustainable future for our planet.

 

In working with families, we will:

• Recognise parents as child’s most influential teachers and promote confident parenting.

• Develop respectful relationships with children’s families and educators through open and meaningful communication- encourage family input and participation and welcome their interests, feedback and involvement.

• Respect and value individual backgrounds and unique cultures and customs.

• Use input from families, children and our local community to continually reflect on best practice and quality improvements.

 

In our role and relationship with our local community we will:

• Advocate for our children and families and offer information on services available within our local community.

• Critically reflect on practice and commit to continually improving our services.

• Create connections within our local community and its businesses and offer our services wherever we can.

 

Kids Oasis is governed by the Code of Ethics, the United Nations Convention on the

Rights of the Child and the introduction to the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. These documents guide everything which happens in our service.
